The Africa Eco Race is special in many ways: In SS03 from Agdal to Assa (421 kms) on Thursday everything looks like Luis Oliveira from Portugal will be the winner in the bikes (after announcing the final results of the day). The Organization also announced him as winner in the official releases.

But Friday morning the leading bikers got some bonuses in the timings, so eventually the Italian Paolo Ceci is now the winner with 04:51:50 hours, 26 seconds in front of Luis Oliveira and 1:29 minutes before the Norwegian Pal Anders Ullevalseter. Because the official announcements have different winners, we cannot say more about the bikes (and included quads) today.

In the cars - if the results are correct - the French-Belgian team Mathieu Serradori and Fabian Lurquin are the winners of SS03, only 22 seconds (!) in front of the Russians Vasilyev / Zhiltsov (X-raid Mini) and the MD Optimus Buggy of Remy Vauthier and Jean Brucy.

"We are happy, it was a great leg, Fabian navigated very well which allowed us to catch up with Vasilyev, there was a good fight," said Mathieu Serradori. "We will open tomorrow, I have confidence in my co-pilot so that's not a problem."
