Sunday´s SS02 began good for the German Juergen Schroeder, competing with an all-new Nissan Navara, built by the South African Red-Lined Motorsport team. At the first checkpoint they could reach up 10 positions - but then a streak of bad luck started. They climbed a high dune too fast and rolled several times downwards. "It was my fault. Our problem was that nobody passed there," Juergen Schroeder said after the stage. Luckily nobody was injured.
After some hours the German Rainer Wissmanns (Overdrive Toyota) passed and stopped to help the crew. "Wissmanns helped us to rescue the car. Withour this it would be a great stage!" The good point: The car was able to go again and they could finish the stage as 51st. After a long night for the mechanics they are able to start again in SS03.
