Dakar Rally TICKER: Welcome to the fourth stage of the Dakar Rally 2018

Good Morning from South America! Today will be the fourth stage of the Rally - and it will be tough again! The beach where the stopwatch is started lends itself perfectly to mass starts, with neat lines of 15 bikes and 4-abreast acceleration contests for the cars. After this sprint along the beach, the drivers will tackle one of the longest-ever sandy sections in the history of the Dakar: a total of 100 km, with dunes of all sizes! This special stage is where certain racers will get ahead, especially since the last canyon is a little tricky to find...

Today the bike will start first at 07:30 local time (13:30 CET), followed by the Quads at 07:40 local time (13:40 CET), Cars at 09:05 (15:05 CET), Side-by-Side 09:53 (15:53 CET) and Trucks 11:17 (17:17 CET). All groups are driving 196 km Stage, 504 km Liaison so 800 km overall.
