Dakar Rally TICKER: They even don´t clean the cars... It´s marathon-stage! Which means: Teams were not allowed to have a service yesterday, this is also the reason why we don´t have so much news today because all the crews (Service, Press) went to the new Camp of today evening and don´t meet the competitors. In the cars you can see what marathon-stage means: The cars are were not cleaned... imagine Stéphane Peterhansel washing a car himself ;-)

Dakar Rally TICKER: The race is very fast for the bikes today - the first riders reached WP5 of 10 Waypoints. The stage is very fast and WRC style, easy to handle. First biker is the Australian Toby Price with his KTM, followed 49 seconds by the Chilenian Pablo Quintanella (Husqvarna) and the Argentinian Kevin Benavides (Honda, +3:00 mins). The top five are completed by Adrien van Beveren (Yamaha, +5:59) and Joan Barreda (Honda, +9:06). Actually the cars started in SS08.

Dakar Rally TICKER: Joan Barreda is back! After the Organization reported about a maybe broken knee, it seems not to be so bad. The Spaniard Honda rider opened today´s stage and just reched WP1 as the fastest rider, followed by Pablo Quintanilla and Matthias Walkner.

Dakar Rally TICKER: Welcome to the eight stage of the Dakar Rally 2018

Good Morning from South America! Today will be the eight stage of the Rally! Upon crossing the border, a change of software is required, which racers and co-drivers will have to install without delay on their hard disks. Against this new backdrop, the daily mileage increases and the dunes temporarily disappear from the landscape. Vigilance is called for on these good tracks that make up most of the route to Uyuni. Once teams reach the barracks, the vehicles are left in the service park, though deprived of their assistance teams for this marathon stage. Today the trucks will drive a shorter stage. The participants again have to pass altitudes of more than 4.500 meters....

Today the bike will start first at 06:00 local time (11:00 CET), followed by the Quads at 07:05 local time (12:05 CET), Cars at 08:40 (13:40 CET), Side-by-Side 09:31 (14:31 CET) and Trucks 09:47 (14:47 CET).
