Dakar Rally TICKER: Penalty for Carlos Sainz neutralized: After a maybe crash between the Dutch quadrider Kees Koolen and Carlos Sainz, the Spaniard got a penalty of 10 minutes for dangerous overtaking. Both competitors did not agree with this. Now the Peugeot team provided their telemetric data of the Peugeot which showed no collision and also no dangerous speed. Koolen does not agree with this descision.

Dakar Rally TICKER: Also in the trucks the competitors were separated - the top five started more than two hours before the rest. And all will be mixed today! While the first two trucks of Sergej Viazovich (Belarus, MAZ) and Federico Villagra (Argentina, De Rooy Iveco) are still in the finish with only 1:24 minutes gap, the Kamaz of Nikolaev is still in the last stage with now +37:33, followed by his teammate Mardeev (+59:57). Yesterday´s winner Ton van Genugten ist still behind WP6 with 01:59:24 gap now! The rest of the field is shortly before WP6 in the first part of the stage.

Dakar Rally TICKER: Waiting for the cars: Today the top ten cars started more than two hours before the rest of the field. Actually the best two cars of the "B-league" (Boris Garafulic, X-raid and Lucio Alvarez, Overdrive Toyota) started in the last part of the stage while the next four cars are on the liaison to the last start (Halpern/Toyota, Sirejyol/Buggy, Bernard/Sodicar, Van Merksteijn/Toyota).

Dakar Rally TICKER: X-raid Mini Pilot Orlando Terranova reached the finish as the last car of the first group (except Mikko Hirvonen) with a gap of 42:12 minutes. The first cars of the "B-Group" (started two hours later than the top ten) reached WP5, at this point Boris Garafulic (X-raid) and Lucio Alvarez (Toyota) are faster than Terranova.

Dakar Rally TICKER: All cars of the early birds except Mikko Hirvonen (X-raid, stuck between WP3 and WP4) and Orlando Terranova (X-raid) reached the finish line. Because the organization made a pre-start for the top ten cars, the next cars will be awaited approx. 2 hours later. The first cars of the second group are arriving actually at WP4. So the actual Top 8 are not official yet!

Dakar Rally TICKER: The first bikes finished today´s SS11 from Belen to Chilecito. Again Austrian Matthias Walkner (KTM) was the fastest, 1:31 minutes in front of Gerard Farres (KTM) and 8:37 mins in front of French GasGas Pilot Aubert.

Dakar Rally TICKER: Bernhard ten Brinke finished SS11 first with his Toyota Hilux in 04:10:54 hours, eventually followed by Cyril Despres (+4:35), Carlos Sainz (Peugeot, +4:40), Stéphane Peterhansel (+4:50) and Giniel de Villiers (+11:57). The official timing is again confusing so the following results can change. The last car of today´s stage just started at 16:26 CET (12:16 local time!).

Dakar Rally TICKER: In the cars, the first reached WP6 so let´s have a look at WP5. Still in front are the two Toyota Hilux of Bernhard ten Brinke and Nasser Al Attiyah (+28 sec), followed by Carlos Sainz (Peugeot, +2:47), Cyril Despres (Peugeot, +4:53) and Giniel de Villiers (Toyota, +6:17). Peterhansel is again loosing time and now 6th with +6:21 while Mikko Hirvonen didn´t reach WP4 until now... Best X-raid Mini at WP5 is Jakub Przygonski as 8th with +9:06 mins.

Dakar Rally TICKER: The first bikes reached WP5 of SS11 and yesterday´s luckymen Gerard Farres is leading the field 1:31 mins in front of Matthias Walkner (KTM) and 5:34 to Aubert (GasGas). Behind them Sherco rider Pedrero Garcia (+7:56) and Honda-rider Cornejo Florimo (+9:34). The gaps are becoming bigger...

Dakar Rally TICKER: The trucks are in the race and passed WP02. Actual fastest is the Argentinian Iveco-driver Federico Villagra, followed by the MAZ of Sergej Viazovich (+5:39), the second Iveco of Ton van Genugten (+6:06) and the two Kamaz of Mardeev (+8:52) and Nikolaev (+10:16).

Dakar Rally TICKER: Bernhard ten Brinke is leading the cars at WP3 - the Dutch Toyota driver is actually the fastest 13 seconds in front of X-raid´s Mikko Hirvonen and 58 seconds before Nasser Al Attiyah. Behind them the two Peugeot 3008DKR of Carlos Sainz (+2:25) and Cyril Despres (+2:38) while Stéphane Peterhansel lost some time and is now 7th with +4:33 mins gap.

Dakar Rally TICKER: Also the first bikes passed WP02. Actual leader is Chilenian Pablo Quintanilla with his Husqvarna, followed 14 seconds by French GasGas Pilot Aubert and 36 seconds by Matthias Walkner (KTM). The top five are completed with Gerard Farres (KTM, +1:21) and Joan Pedrero (Sherco, +3:15).

Dakar Rally TICKER: Mikko Hirvonen leading the cars at WP02: In SS11 the fastest cars reached WP02 and even we are just behind the start of the stage, the Finn Mikko Hirvonen is surprising with his Mini, leading the field 11 seconds in front of Bernhard ten Brinke (Toyota) and 25 seconds before Nasser Al Attiyah (Toyota). The are followed by the two Peugeot of Carlos Sainz (+1:07) and Stéphane Peterhansel (+1:24).

Dakar Rally TICKER: Cars and Bikes started in today´s SS11! First opener in the Bikes was the Austrian Matthias Walkner at 07:33 local time (11:33 CET), in the cars Stéphane Peterhansel at 07:30 local time (11:30 CET). The ten fastest bikes, the ten best cars and the five best trucks start first. The rest will come later. The final camps are different today for Cars and Bikes because the bikes have a second marathon-stage.

Dakar Rally TICKER: Welcome to the 11th stage of the Dakar Rally 2018

Good Morning from South America! Today will be the eleventh stage of the Rally! If the weather is particularly hot, reducing the firmness of the sand, this will be one of the toughest spots in Argentina... and potentially the place where a racer in good shape will be able to shine. Stéphane Peterhansel can attest to that. As in 2016, the previous day’s special stage times will define the starting order, with a mix of bikes, cars and trucks for the 25 fastest finishers. In the evening, the bike riders will be stay in a separate bivouac for their second marathon stage.

Today the bike will start first at 07:33 local time (11:33 CET), followed by the Quads at 09:23 local time (13:23 CET), Cars at 07:30 (11:30 CET), Side-by-Side 10:37 (14:37 CET) and Trucks 08:30 (12:30 CET).
