Dakar Rally TICKER: A long stage for the trucks: Finally the Dutch Iveco-crew of Ton van Genugten has won today´s SS12 in 07:02:36 hours. Second ist Czech Martin Kolomy with his Tatra Phoenix (+4:11), third the Kamaz-team of Eduard Nikolaev (+06:21). Overall Nikolaev is leader again with only 1 second!

Dakar Rally TICKER: Czech Martin Kolomy is still leading in the trucks at WP10, followed by the two De Rooy Iveco of Ton van Genugten (+3:12) and Federico Villagra (+8:44), the first Kamaz of Eduard Nikolaev (+13:44) and the thirs Iveco of Artur Ardavichus (+15:33).

Dakar Rally TICKER: "A good day for us," said Dirk von Zitzewitz, navigator of Giniel de Villiers. "A rough day in general. Many rios with tricky navigation, stones, water crossings, a bit of desert too. Very bumpy in the end, a road made for buggies. A lot of clanks in our Hilux and many hits to take. Happy though." De Villiers added: "Unlucky with 2 punctures and stuck in dust for some time otherwise could have been better. Overall happy with day!"

Dakar Rally TICKER: Carlos Sainz and Cyril Despres lost massive time today: 18:07 minutes minus for Sainz and 21:37 minus for Despres. Overall Sainz is still the leader with now 42:24:31 hours, 44:41 in front of Peterhansel and 01:05:55 in front of Al Attiyah.

Dakar Rally TICKER: While the live-timing of the organizsation was completely not working during WP8 and WP11, in the finish it´s back again! The first car in the finish of SS12 is Nasser Al Attiyah with his Gazoo Toyota, followed by Stéphane Peterhansel (Peugeot, +2:03) and Giniel de Villiers (Toyota, +4:33).

Stéphane Peterhansel is still leading with 05:22:41 hours in front of Nasser Al Attiyah (Toyota, +15 seconds), Bernhard ten Brinke (Toyota, +2:38), Orlando Terranova (X-raid Mini, +2:51), Giniel de Villiers (Toyota, +3:00), Mikko Hirvonen (Mini Buggy, +5:57), Jakub Przygonski (X-raid Mini, +8:18), Sheikh Al Qassimi (Peugeot, +8:28) and Carlos Sainz (Peugeot, +13:54).

Dakar Rally TICKER: The tracking of the Dakar Organizer again is not working correctly, so we must trust what the organizers are telling. Nasser Al Attiyah eventually is now the leader in front of Stephane Peterhansel at WP8 of 11. In the trucks Czech Martin Kolomy reached the finish of the first part first.

He is chased by the Iveco of Ton van Genugten (+1:54), the Liaz of compatriot Martin Macik Jr. (+3:28), the Iveco of Athur Ardavichus (+9:42) and the Renault of Gert Huzink (+10:38). The Kamaz are loosing massive time, none of them reached WP5 within the first 7 trucks...

Dakar Rally TICKER: The half of the cars finished today´s first part of the stage and Bernhard ten Brinke is still the leader with his Toyota 1:28 minutes in fron of his teammate Nasser Al Attiyah. Third is Stéphane Peterhansel 1:41 mins ahead, fourth Orlando Terranova (+1:53) and fifth Giniel de Villiers (+2:22).

Federico Villagra is leading with his De Rooy Iveco 55 seconds in front of the Liaz of Martin Macik, followed by Ton van Genugten in the second Iveco (+1:00), Martin Kolomy (Tatra, +1:27) and Gert Huzink in his Renault 4x4 (+1:57). Best Kamaz is Eduard Nikolaev as 6th with 2:02 minutes gap.

Dakar Rally TICKER: Warning about the stage: "All the race zones of this stage have been affected by heavy rains in the previous days, many traces have disappeared or are broken and other tracks have been created with the passage of road machines to enable places that were impassable. The modifications are many, but they are necessary. Caring the vehicle will be priority in rocky terrain," the organization told.

Dakar Rally TICKER: Slight changes have been made to the course of stage 12 for Bikes and Quads. They will start after the cars but at the same place as them, so they will not follow a separate route in the first part of the stage. These changes have shortened the stage by 91 km. Instead of yesterday today all participants of the Cars and Trucks will start after eachother.

Dakar Rally TICKER: Welcome to the 12th stage of the Dakar Rally 2018

Good Morning from South America! Today will be the twelfth stage of the Rally! Good physical management will be the key to success in this second marathon stage for the bike riders, whose arms will not be spared by the hundreds of twists and turns and stony sections they will have to endure. The only way that car and truck crews will be able to get through this long day without getting stuck in the rios will be by carefully keeping to the road book.

Today the first Cars will start at 07:00 (11:00 CET), Side-by-Side 07:52 (11:52 CET) and Trucks 08:20 (12:20 CET).
