Kalam Frozen Rush: Islamabad Jeep Club to organize Snow-Rally in February

Also Pakistan has an offroad-rally in Snow: The Islamabad Jeep Club (IJC) announced the "Kalam Frozen Rush" Rally on Sunday, February 4th 2018. The event is being organized with the collaboration of Pakistan Army, TKCP and District Administration Swat. Members of various offroad clubs from Islamabad and other cities have registered their names with their 4x4 cars for the snow rally, said Imran Hyder, spokesman of IJC.

Total track length of one round is approximately 6 kms, the event is limited to 60 vehicles. The snow rally will be held in four different categories: A) 3500 litres and above, B) 2600 litres to less than 3500, C) Up to 2600 litres and D) Women Category.

The snow rally will boost domestic tourism as well as adventure sport in the country, said Imran Hyder. This sport has become very popular in the country. The route of the snow rally has been finalized. The trophies will be awarded to the top position holders besides certificates to all the participants on the conclusion of the rally on 4th February afternoon.

The Islamabad Jeep Club (IJC) was founded in 2001 by a few like minded individuals who had the passion for exploring the outdoors and testing the limits of their 4x4 rigs. IJC focuses on the promotion of healthy 4x4 off-road activities, primarily in and around the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad.

Since then, the Club has held many memorable events, gone on remarkable tours in the toughest of circumstances and even initiated relief efforts in flood and earthquake stricken areas of Pakistan by supplying food rations and building bridges and schools. IJC also provides offroad and recovery trainings upon request. The Club comprises of enthusiastic individuals from all walks of life, where mutual respect for both man and machine is top priority.
