Ready to get on the starting line of this third edition of the Sahari Rally, departing from Oran with a course that will take them plain south to Taghit, on the edge of the Grand Erg Occidental. More than 50 motorcycles, 10 quads and 39 cars and trucks from seven countries will be at the start line.

A great success for this international rally which, for logistical reasons, had to be reorganized with a new team led by Michel Bizot, general manager and Alain Roualland, technical director. This new team was commissioned by Chihab Baloul, president of the Algerian Federation of Motorsports to study a new formula for this third edition, which promises to be exceptional.

An unprecedented course that, after the opening ceremony in Oran will continue with two timed sectors that will lead the drivers to Taghit where the program provides four stages in the Grand Erg Occidental, the heart of the Algerian desert. There, the competitors will compete on fabulous courses between the immensity of the dunes and the mountains, alternating fast tracks where the drivers will be able to express themselves fully and others where they will have to resort to their talent of navigator.

The return to Oran will be again with two timed sectors that will finish this edition of the Rally. The Algerian Federation has planned comfortable bivouacs where competitors will appreciate the typical and traditional hospitality that makes Algeria a dream tourist destination.

One sanitary helicopter, six ambulances on the track, and doctors on motorcycles guarantee the safety of pilots, while the Algerian army will spread its wings throughout the rally by providing its resources to support and ensure the safety of the race.

Motorcycles, quads, cars and trucks, everyone can choose the option that best suits their ambitions, their equipment and their driving and navigation performance.

As part of the Sahari Rally, a great place is left to the adventurers who will want to take the opportunity to discover the Grand Erg Occidental, without sacrificing to the constraints of the race, with the formula Raid.

The Raid takes place on the same route as the Rally (however loopholes are possible) and it will always be possible to cut the course. The Raid therefore has the same magical character and the same scenery as the race. This category may include all standard vehicles, but in good condition, with a minimum of preparation and a minimum of safety and navigation equipment.
